Integrative Medicine| A Better Way To Treat Musculoskeletal Disorders

Do you want to know what I believe is the best way to treat musculoskeletal conditions like neck pain, back pain, and arthritis? Then read on!

Hi everyone Floyd Meyer here. Last week we talked about what traditional medicine has to offer for musculoskeletal disorders, and unfortunately, the results were severely lacking.

Now I want to talk about what I believe is the best way to treat these conditions and that is through an integrative model!

So what is integrative medicine?

Integrative Medicine (IM) is healing-oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between practitioner and patient, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies.

-University of Arizona

What this means is that in an integrative medical model we are going to use a combination of the best treatment modalities available to treat each specific individuals condition.

This includes things like physical therapy, medical injection therapy, regenerative medicine with PRP and Stem Cells, chiropractic care, medical weight loss, and many many other treatment options.

At the clinic I am involved with we combine all of these approaches and create a specific treatment plan for patients so that they can get out of pain and get back to doing the things that they love to do in life. It’s more than just treating symptoms. It’s about people taking control of their lives and putting in the work so that they can get back to doing the things they love to do.

It also is not about just giving people medications to mask their symptoms. We fix peoples underlying biomechanics and strengthen their bodies.

We also are open to other treatment modalities that patients are pursuing. If you get massages great! If you are working with a metabolic doctor to lose weight that’s fantastic! As long as you are doing things that are giving you benefit and keeping you mobile I’m happy.

Now I have to point out this model of healthcare is not for everyone. You must be willing to put in the time and put in the work in order to get better.

Those individuals who want to put the blame of their condition on others, or who are looking for a quick fix will not get the results they are looking for.

But for those who are ready, this is by far the best way to treat musculoskeletal disorders. You can get a specific care plan so that you can get back doing what you love and making the positive impacts that only you can make in our society.

I hope this has been helpful. If you want to speak more about your specific case please message me.

Or if you have ever been to an integrative medical office I would love to hear your stories! So comment below
